The first trade exhibition in the Middle East dedicated to providing the most exclusive, high-end food products sourced from all over the world is just taking place in Dubai. The Speciality Food Festival is being held from 31 October - 02 November 2010 to source and review the very best premium and exclusive food and drink products from around the world.

The Middle East, and especially Dubai, is an important destination for the gourmet and connoisseurs of fine food and dining. Recent oil wealth, population growth and diversity, combined with the rapid expansion of the tourism and hospitality trade have combined to create a highly lucrative market for suppliers of premium and speciality foods.

Over 175 new hotels with a significant proportion operating in the fiveā€star category are due for completion by 2010 in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. UAE food industry is worth US$2.5 billion, 90% of which is imported.
