Largest Energy and Mining Indonesia exhibition; a huge success

The Energy and Mining Indonesia Series of Conferences and Exhibitions which ran on 21-24 September ended on a high with 42,735 trade and business visitors registering throughout Indonesia and the ASEAN region.


The event which consists of four specialised trade exhibitions, Electric Power and Renewable Energy Indonesia (15,371 visitors), Mining Indonesia (11,802 visitors), , Oil and Gas Indonesia (10,002 visitors) and Building and Infrastructure Indonesia (5,560 visitors) was officially opened by Dr Wiempy S Tjetjep, Deputy, Mineral Resources and Forestry of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs.

A total of 2284 exhibitors participated in the exhibition including leading players from the Energy and Mining sectors including ABB, Atlas Copco Fluidcon, Caterpillar, Daya Kobelco, Endress + Hauser, GE, Hitachi, Honeywell, Hyundai Heavy Industries, JCB, Liebherr, Mercedes Benz, MTU, Sany, Schneider, Siemens and United Tractors .

The exhibitions which attracted 17 country pavilions occupied a record 57,410 sqm at the Jakarta International Expo Centre.

This exhibition highlighted the huge opportunities that exist in the Energy and Mining sectors in Indonesia. Exhibitors were delighted with the results;

Alongside the exhibition, two high level conferences were organized by the Indonesian Mining Association under the theme “The Challenges Under the New Mining Paradigm” which attracted 240 delegates and addressed the key issues affecting Indonesia’s mining sector.

The second, organised by the Indonesian Electrical Power Society (MKI) under the theme “National Electricity Power Development ” was organised to address the challenges to meet the countries greater demand for power and energy. Over 50 Technical seminars and product demonstrations also accompanied the exhibition.

The Energy and Mining Indonesia Series, which was 40% larger than the last edition will return 11-14 September 2013 and space reservations have already been confirmed for 2013.
