A HUGE SUCCESS!

 Mining Mongolia 2012 the first International Mining and Minerals Recovery exhibition to be held in the country ended on a high with 2,125 mining professionals from throughout the country visiting the exhibition. The exhibition was held in conjunction with Building and Construction Mongolia 2012.

The exhibition was officially opened by Mr. Tsevelmaa Bayarsaikhan, the Minister for Construction and Urban Development. A full range of exhibits were on display for the Mining and Building sectors including Building Control Systems, Commercial Vehicles, Construction Equipment, Conveyor systems, Crushing and Grinding, Drilling Equipment and Tools, Dumpers, Generators, Highwall Mining Equipment, Mineral Processing, Pumps, Tractors, Trucks, Underground Equipment and Valves.

A total of 264 exhibitors participated in the exhibition including Atlas Copco, BASF, Becker Mining Systems, Caterpillar Corporation, Central Asia Mine Supply, Cummins, Daewoo Equipment Corporation, Genpower Generator, Hitachi Construction Machinery, JSG Industrial Systems, Komatsu Ltd, Liu Gong Machinery Corporation, Mercedes Benz, Sandvik AB, SANY, Sew-Eurodrive Gmbh, Sika Group, Transwest Mongolia and Weir Minerals. All available space at the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace was fully utilised.

This exhibition highlighted the huge opportunities that exist in the Energy and Building sectors in Mongolia. Exhibitors were delighted with the results:

Alongside the exhibition, a number of high level conferences and seminars took place including one organised by the Ministry of Construction and Urban Development. Other seminars were organized by the British Embassy, Mongolian Star Melchers and Weir Minerals.

Mining Mongolia will return on 19-21 September 2013 and will be held once more alongside Building and Construction Mongolia. A new exhibition Power and Renewable Energy Mongolia will also be held at the same time to meet the countries rapidly increasing demand for power.
