Chinese wine market rebound with high exhibitor registration

ProWine China 2017, 14 - 16 November, Shanghai

The wine industry in China has been developing into a period of stable growth. Chinese wine experts speculate that the amount of wine imports will continue to rise with more than a 30% increase. The wine market in 2017 will usher in a new golden period of strong growth. Under these market influences, ProWine China 2017 has received early interest and there has been a high demand of space from exhibitors. South Africa’s pavilion was the first to be confirmed while France still has the largest country pavilion by far. The pavilions of Italy, Spain, Canada, Austria, Australia and Georgia have undergone a significant expansion. The Macedonian (FYROM) and Hungarian pavilions have also just confirmed their participation along with numerous independent exhibitors quickly confirming in participation for this year’s trade show. With the growing demand of exhibitors, the organiser expects an increase of over 20% in exhibition space when compared to last year.

The fourth ProWine China, which concluded in November last year, successfully attracted 12,431 trade visitors, an increase of 20% from the 2015 edition. For three days, around 650 wine and spirit manufacturers, importers and distributors from 37 countries; featuring 13 country pavilions and 5 regional pavilions presenting their top products. In order to better facilitate trade buyers, ProWine China 2017 will be moved to halls W4 and W5 of Shanghai New International Expo Centre, close to the No.2 entrance hall.
