Applications for businesses to submit EMDG applications for the 2019-20 financial year will close at midnight (AEDT) Monday 30 November 2020. This is 11PM in Brisbane, 11:30PM in Adelaide and 9PM in Perth.

Our EMDG team are approved EMDG Quality Inventive Program (QIP) Consultants. So if you are unable to meet the deadline, our team are able to assist and lodge applications until Tuesday 2nd March 2021.

Why you don't want to miss out on lodging for 2019-20

Earlier this year, it was announced that the first tranche payment for the 2019-20 grant year will be increased to $100,00 (the highest level of funding for many years).

This means that EMDG applicants applying for grants of up to $100,000 will receive the entire amount in full.

The other significant change to EMDG for 2019-20 is that the export performance has been temporarily waived. Grant entitlements will therefore be dependent on the level of expenses only.

The $100,000 first tranche and temporary removal of the export earnings test are only certain to be in place for the 2019-20 grant year.

For businesses who have previously been limited by export earnings, or those wanting to maximise their rebate amount, lodging an EMDG application for 2019-20 is well worth looking into.
